The Center in honor of Yona Shamir. Founded by Yona Shamir un 1996, under the Samuel Neaman Institute for National Policy in the Technion, and shortly after became an independent organization. Yona Shamir managed the Center until her passing in 2019. She was a member of the UNESCO-IHE team on Negotiation and Mediation on water, natural resources and environmental issues.
